AWARENESS is the first step to change.

 

If you want to make changes to your life, the first thing you must do is to become aware of your thoughts.

  

Once you become aware of them, you can start to assess whether they are helping or hurting you in achieving all that you desire.

If they are not helping, then it is time to replace them. Find some new positive thoughts that will support you and move you towards your goals.

 

 

Let’s explore this in a little more detail.

 

 

Many people assume that the MIND operates like a camera. It does not.

 

 

The MIND operates like a projector.

 

 

MIND projects our thoughts onto a big screen (like a movie). That’s when we become aware. But here’s the great news.  The movie is interchangeable.
If you don’t like the MOVIE/ (the thought), you have the power to change it.

 

 

When you decide that you don’t like it anymore, you can switch the channel.  Same with your thoughts.  Once you start to notice them, and you realise that they are not serving you well, then you can change them.  Replace those old/negative thoughts with new/positive and more supportive thoughts.

 

 

No matter how long you have been STUCK with something, no matter how real a problem may seem, no matter how helpless or challenged you feel by a particular situation, you are NEVER more than one thought away from a whole different experience.

 

 

The most important lesson I can share with you in managing your mindset is that it is our thoughts which drive our feelings, and it is our feelings that drive our ACTIONS.

 

 

Not sure what you are thinking?  Then just ask yourself – how am I feeling? If you are feeling anything less than ‘great’ then you must be running some pretty unhelpful thoughts.

 

 

Because here’s the thing.  You cannot be UNHAPPY if you are only ever running happy thoughts.

 

 

As human beings, the stories we tell ourselves about our circumstances, about others, and about life in general, can drastically change how we feel moment by moment.  If the stories are positive, we tend to feel good.  If the stories are negative, then it follows that we will start to feel bad.

 

 

Change your thoughts, and you can change your life.

Your experience of life is primarily affected by the perspective you view it from.   Depending upon the meaning we give to situations or events, we all feel and behave differently, and so each of us leaves this shared experience with a slightly different perception of what just happened.

 

 

And sometimes that slight difference makes all the difference in the world.

 

 

As highly intelligent women, we can REFRAME anything to create a different perspective or interpretation.

 

 

So, start today. Master your MINDSET.

 

 

Of course, becoming a master at anything requires focus, awareness, and positive action daily. And mastering your mindset is no different.

 

 

So here’s my 3 top tips to implement daily:

 

1. Check Your Fuel
Every day we are fuelling our mind with positive or negative thoughts.
Check your fuel gauge to determine how much positivity vs negativity you are consuming.

What daily positive actions do you take?

Are you exercising, listening to inspirational podcasts, watching motivational or funny videos, spending quality time with family and friends, and engaging in ‘real’ conversations?

 

 

2. Pay attention to your Language

Become aware of your language.

Notice the words you use in your daily life. Notice the words you frequently use to describe the events in your life? How often do you repeat the same statements?
Do you use empowering or disempowering language?

 

Start using – I can, I am, I will
Stop using – I can’t, I won’t, I don’t know how

 

 

3. Surround yourself with the right people
How would you describe the people you associate with at work and at home? Are you surrounding yourself with inspirational people, those who make you feel fantastic and accept you for YOU? Or are you surrounded by toxic people who are constantly blaming, complaining and whining about their life and their circumstances? A tell-tale sign is your energy levels – uplifting people give you more energy and toxic people drain it. Let go of the people who are hurting your heart & soul.

 

 

And my final tip – be YOU.  For when you are happy, and when you are shining bright, then wonderful people and amazing opportunities will be attracted to you like magic.
